Last day of liquid diet, surgery tomorrow!

@butchluce, you are killing it! Great job! I'm -30 lbs at one month post-op, which I'm happy about. My schedule is still nutty until Thanksgiving, so I can only fit in 10,000 steps maybe 1-3x a week, but the days I do it, I lose at least 1 lb within the next two days.

Have you had the infamous energy surge I hear about and want? LOL. I feel normal, but no surge. Don't get me wrong, I definitely have a spring in my step and feel lighter all around, and getting up off of the floor/chairs/couches is easier, but I'm still crashing and burning at my usual early hour.

I haven't used my CPAP at all since that first attempt. My husband says the snoring is definitely less. But, I'm not waking at all in the middle of the night like before if I didn't use the CPAP. I used to be awake 2-4x a night and need a Tylenol PM to get back to sleep. Now, I crash and stay asleep all night (unless my son wakes me to use the potty.)

How's your sleeping and energy? I feel like I never had surgery almost. I do have restriction and have had what I expect was dumping only once last week this whole time. I was really hungry -- went too long between meals -- and ate a double portion (1 cup versus 1/2 cup) and then had to lay down in bed the rest of the night with sweats. I didn't vomit, but if I could have and gotten relief, I would have. Totally wiped me out.

Definitely need to keep fed/watered every 2 hours over here to maintain energy.

How's your experience?

Heather, I have not experienced a surge in energy, in fact, I get tired fairly easily, but then I'm 70 years old! As I stated I have started back with my cardiac re-hab, which is treadmill, recumbent bicycle, stationary bicycle, upper arm machine. I have not started lifting dumbells again yet. I did back off on my exercise times and resistance levels but am slowly increasing each. I sleep pretty well, my wife says I don't snore as much. I can eat 1/2 -1 cup of food. Anymore than that I feel stuffed. Overall, I'm very pleased and am motivated to keep it going. I started at 370lbs and my goal is 250 pounds. I'm not sure if that is realistic but it is my goal. I am 6'3" so I can carry 250 fine. I, like you need food/protein shake or water/Isopure every 2-3 hours or I do get hungry. My only hard time was when I strained my back-it kept me out of commission for a week. It was very hard to get my liquids and nutrition lying flat on my back. I'm past that now so things are good! Stay in touch Surgery Pal!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
