Sushi after surgery?

I know that for a while my food will be restricted and I've accepted that. However, sushi is my utmost favorite food that I've ever eaten. With that being said, I know rice is a touchy food for a lot of people but is there anyone that has tried to test the waters

Once they were a while out like 6mo or a year later?

If I have to say goodbye then so be it, but if I know there will be a day that I can eat it once again, I'd be so happy!

I'm only 12 days post op, and was wondering for those of you who normally eat sashimi... How many pieces do you usually eat for a meal? Thanks!

2-3 max.

3 years, 3 months out.

Damn. 9 weeks out and I had 5-6 pieces for dinner the last two nights.

I weighed them last night and it was 3.5 oz which is my usual Protein serving.

It's filling af but not sure I could get by on 3 pieces.

I get hamachi which is super thin tho.

I am on 2 oz meals almost 3 mos post op.

I eat 2-3 pieces sashimi, weigh it sometimes it is 2 1/2 for 2 oz sometimes 3.

I personally like the mackerel served with ginger and spring onions because it doesn't taste yicky if you overchew it ????

I do 2-3 pieces I also enjoy poke about 3oz.

Next time I eat sashimi I'll try and cut it down to 2-3 pieces and see if I feel satisfied. I bet I will.
