Did you tell people?
That's pretty much why I don't want to tell my Mom. Her reaction will either be unsupportive and judgmental or she will obsess about my weight loss and comment things like I don't seem to be losing weight or that I look the same, or maybe my saggy skin from weightloss lol

Did you tell people?
I had my first issue today haha. Went to visit a friend I've known for years but hardly see. She set out some food that her Mom made, along with some Snacks. I felt it would be rude not to eat at least a bit, but it was 2 things I haven't eaten since getting sleeved - beef and spicy stuff. I told her I was watching my weight but she kinda waved it off so I accepted half a serving of the kabob. I was eating slow and she asked if I didn't like it! It was so embarrassing. Then she offered me a Krispy Kreme doughnut, another thing I haven't eaten since getting sleeved, got away with a quarter of it and thank goodness I didn't feel sick while I was there!

Sushi after surgery?
Damn. 9 weeks out and I had 5-6 pieces for dinner the last two nights. I weighed them last night and it was 3.5 oz which is my usual Protein serving. It's filling af but not sure I could get by on 3 pieces. I get hamachi which is super thin tho. I personally like the mackerel served with ginger and spring onions because it doesn't taste yicky if you overchew it ????

Sushi after surgery?
I ate about 5 small pieces when I was 10 days post op. Chewed it 1000 times

Looking for a Sleeve Buddy!
Haha yeah I know the feeling. I had the balloon before I did the sleeve so my tummy is used to such things, hence I don't get foamies at all now. I do feel ill if I eat something with milk or too much sugar or too fast and I need to lay down and moan for a little while

Sushi after surgery?
Just raw fish

Pain in stomach after exercise?
Yup! Carried my 22 lbs son about a quarter of a mile and belly button hurt like hell after

Surgery without telling anyone?
I know exactly how you feel. I didnt tell my Mom because of the way she is. She's always told me I'm fat and then tried to apologize by feeding my Mcdonalds and buying me junk food. I'm not telling anyone because I don't want them thinking I'm taking the easy way out when, like you, I've struggled with weight loss for years

Looking for a Sleeve Buddy!
Hey! We share sleeve dates! Mine was at 8 am. I'm 31 years old and 202 lbs. How are you doing so far?
-
Pulled muscle has me worried
I'm 2 weeks post op and my belly button hurt quite a lot yesterday! I was out with my 11 month old and he was shivering so I cuddled him while walking. It happens! Just be more careful

Singapore
Hey everyone! Anyone here living in Singapore? There was a thread but it's from 2012 ???? not sure if they're still around. Anyway, I'm looking to make friends with fellow sleevers, offer each other support or just chat about our experience and share stories!

Thank you for your kind words

Did you tell people?
Thank you for all your replies! I especially like the explosive diarrhea one haha! I'm just worried people will think I'm on drugs (also common in my country) or that I have an eating disorder. It's complicated. They make fun of you for being fat and make fun of you for being on a diet lol Sent from my SM-N920I using the BariatricPal App
