I am OVER it today.

Recommended Posts

What I am not over. Actually can't get enough of it. That I am healthy active and hot. Yup at 8 months out I am a normal BMI and a very hot size 4/6. These early days are hard no doubt and I still occasionally I will get diarrhea or Constipation but I did before surgery too. It is less often because I eat healthier. Please stay positive because it is worth it!

@@katieroybal have you tried adding a probiotic? I have a chewable one from Bariatric Advantage. It may help with the diarrhea.

I am over this pre op diet!!! shakes and bars that are too sweet. The only thing not sweet is the Water. And that seems to be all I can get down without gagging. 3 days down, 11 more to go.

I know that feeling. My kids ate pizza today and I just had serve and watch. But since the surgery I don't see the same. It's more of the memory of how it made me feel. Oh, I'm so sick of Water.

I take two stool softeners a day. and Milk of Magnesia once a week. which has worked out ok up until this week, doesn't seem to be working anymore. (I'm 9 weeks out today).

For the Constipation (I didn't even think about that), is it recommended that you take a stool softener?

Aloe Water works but not pleasant

Try broth. You've got this!

Unfortunately, broth isn't an option. 3 shakes, 2 bars, 1 black coffee or tea and unlimited Water for 2 weeks. What I would do for a cup of broth right now ;)

I am over this stupid stall. 10 days gone by since I hit Onederland, only to turn around and end up right back at 200 again. I am doing everything my surgeon said to do. I have fibroids and I am seeing my Gyn tomorrow about that. I cannot stand this! It's so frustrating...I don't mind the challenges; they are making me stronger. I do mind the fact that lately this seems like I made the wrong choice to deal with my weight. I never dreamed I'd be stuck at 200 lbs!

I couldn't handle the shakes for every pre-op meal either. I found them especially sweet and repulsive. My surgeon was fine with broth since it is part of a more restrictive (clear liquid) diet. I just added unflavored Protein powder to get my Protein in. If you truly hate the shakes, you might ask if you can start the clear liquid diet early with added unflavored protein. Just be sure to mention that you are willing to add protein to the broth so they wont say they are concerned about you not getting enough protein.

I'm over the post op diet (just started pureed) and being constantly worried that something is wrong because I'm not getting full and am still hungry really quickly after my four ounces of blended whatever. I'm over hearing from my friends who've had WLS over the last year, how full they are after two bites of food while I stress out that something didn't work right for me.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
