I am OVER it today.

Recommended Posts

Today isn't a good day.. I'm OVER wondering if I'll feel sick after any new food I'm about to try. I am OVER forcing myself to drink Water when I'm not thirsty, I am OVER the fact my 1lb chihuahua eats more food than me.

Had to vent, the hubby just had a McDonald's and I looked at it with tears in my eyes, I miss you buddy.

What are you OVER today?

I'm over my hips hurting when I sleep and even walk. I'm over having difficulty breathing because I'm too fat! I'm over hating the way I look in clothes. I'm over not going places and seeing friends because I'm too ashamed of how I look. I'm over not being able to do the physical activities I want to do because I'm too heavy. I'm over about being worried about my future because of my health.

I am over wondering if my husband will die if he gained the weight back because his blood sugar would crash to 40 again. But I know this won't happen because he has lost 100 lbs and he is diligent about his diet. You could not force any fast food junk down his throat. I am over worrying again that he and I both will gain weight back and be sludges on the sofa, taking 20 medications again. Because we will never eat fast food.

I'm over back and hip pain, and being super skilled at hiding that I'm out of breath after 2 flights of stairs. That shouldn't be a skill anyone is proficient at, unless you're a ninja trying to protect your cover. <_<

I could have written that word for word....!

I am OVER the chronic constipation...my only real complaint about the process.

that's a worry - no fibre - that's part of the reason I question the lack of vegs and fruits in the early days

For the Constipation (I didn't even think about that), is it recommended that you take a stool softener?

I'm over the heartburn whenever I drink or eat anything...no regrets, I'm just over that part! Love the "looking and feeling great" part though

I take two stool softeners a day. and Milk of Magnesia once a week. which has worked out ok up until this week, doesn't seem to be working anymore. (I'm 9 weeks out today).

Is heartburn a 'for sure' thing or just for some people?

I have heard others experience it too, but my surgeon said it MAY go away eventually as my body heals (10 wks post-op)...time will tell

@@Armygalbonnie ME TOO! It's like I could have written that.

I'm over waking up in the morning and feeling ALL THE GRAVITY pull me down as my fat settles into place. I'm over the pain in my feet that I feel with every step. I'm over looking at myself in store windows as I walk by and think "frick, did I really get that big?"

I'm over my mother telling me I'm going to die of a stroke because I'm overweight. I'm over feeling ashamed for being fat and I'm over being ashamed for not being more body positive. I'm over feeling hungry all the time as I lose weight in this stage. I'm over people saying "you aren't even that big" when I talk about surgery. I'm over self-esteem, ugly clothes, and poorly constructed shoes.

Mostly, I'm over my son pointing out every diet/weightloss commercial and saying "you should do that, mommy." I love this kid but he sure can be brutally honest for a 10 year old. Gah.

So over it.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
