Uhhhh..... yeah. food Demons are all around me right now. I am just taking it one day at a time and trying my best to not over eat. I think I need to log my food too. I think I'll start tomorrow. I have been eating only 5-600 calories per day. I don't know if I should stick with this or go up to 800ish? Hmmm... In the meantime, I am dreaming about a successful fill....

Thanks for all your responses. It's good to know I'm not alone. OK, so I need to start journaling my food. I wasn't given an amount of calories to shoot for, so I appreciate your input. The good news is that I stepped on the scale this morning and I lost another 6 lbs. in the last 10 days! Guess I can't be doing that bad!

Clara, the first solid food I tried was scrambled eggs. I chewed the heck out of it and it still got stuck. Be careful. That was on the 5th. I did try them again yesterday and they were fine, but I made a few changes... I added a bit of milk which I normally don't do. I also left out the cheese. Which I realized I wasn't supposed to have. (No melted cheese yet.) Hope this helps.

I haven't tried a scrambled egg yet - I'm scared - lol!

On liquids I was suppose to get about 650 calories per day and now on mushies it's about 800 and 70 grams of Protein. So far, so good. I keep track on fitday.com

Claramae - I did the same thing. I was supposed to start mushies last Mon and I experimented with a few things the day before.

____

How are everyone's incisions healing? I'm pretty surprised mine look so good. Definitely going to leave some scars but not too bad. I just got some Vitamin e oil for once I'm all healed.

Another six pounds - that is awesome. My weight loss has kind of levelled off since I started mushies. Did this happen to anyone else. I only lost 3 pounds this week.

How long does everyone have to stick to the mushy/pureed stage?

Candle--Well, I did it and 1 day early. I had scrambled eggs for Breakfast. Was so good and no trouble going down. For lunch we had chicken enchilida casserole. I put some in blender and it was great. I finally have a satisfied feeling. It is wonderful. Anyway, my daughter, my son in law and my two twin granddaughters just left for houston. My house is too quite now. Talk later.

Hi Shelli,

One more week to go on mushies. I had a meatball and some Pasta 2 nights ago. I just made sure that I chewed it real well until it liquified before I swallowed. Hope this doesnt mess my band up. Anyone else cheat??:embarassed::nervous:girl_hug:

Hi Candle,

I just bought some Mederma. I have seen it suggested on this site a few times. There is a support group in East Northport on Oct 4 at 7PM I like the fact that there are only fellow Bandsters there. We get our answers from those who have first hand knowledge. Let me know if you are interested.

Hi Light ER NYC,

Yes I had a little homemade tuna Noodle Casserole today and didn't puree it. :eek:It was really soft so I just chewed real well but I had nausea this evening so I think I am paying the price for it. Back to pure mushies for 2 more weeks.

What is your next phase of the diet? Do you go to Soft Foods or Right to Solids.

Take care,

I go on to Phase 3 tomorrow. Then I get to add lunchmeats, hamburger, cooked veggies, fresh fruit, tuna.< /p>

On Phase 2, I was able to have eggs, cheese, cottage cheese, canned fruit, etc. That began on Sept. 4th.

Is that a product for scars? I've never heard of it.

Thanks for the offer - I'm going to the support group meeting held at my doctor's office tommorrow. I'm a little nervous for some reason ...

I'm planning to check out one of the other support groups soon though. My doctor is in Syossett, which is quite a distance from me. (I'm out east)

I had my 1st fill of 1/2cc today. My surgeon wants to take it slow with me because of all of my complications. So far, so good.

How is everyone else doing?

Hello all of my fellow 27th-ers! My weight loss has leveled off as well. I have very little restriction and some hunger. Tonight I was able to eat 3 chicken legs. Probably about 2/3 of a cup of meat. Also a cup of snap peas. That's a lot. I am trying to keep the calories to a minimum as much as possible. I am sure I am well under 900 calories, probably around 6 or 700. I am getting a fill this month sometime and I can't wait! How is everybody doing?! Miss yall!!!!!!!!!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
