I was a bad girl

Recommended Posts

Hi, my name is Sharon and I was a bad girl this weekend. (Hangs head in shame).

On Friday, my man bought a chocolate fudge cake for his wife's birthday. I took the cake home, whipped up a batch of buttercream frosting (which is to die for, I have to say), and put roses all over it. I sampled some frosting (bad bad bad).

The cake was beautiful. (good good good)

On Saturday, as I was driving 2 hours to where we were staying for the weekend, I bought a sugar-free rockstar. It's been probably three years since I had one. I had to stop drinking them because they were giving me an irregular heartbeat (I would drink two or three a day). In addition to not being able to have them because of the caffeine, they are carbonated. It was so good I moaned. Quite audibly. (bad bad bad)

I got to see a good friend that moved away about six years ago. She and her husband were back for the weekend. (good good good)

At the party Saturday night I had two forkfuls of that chocolate cake. (bad bad bad)

Also at the party Saturday night, I stripped down to a long tshirt and played paint-twister with two other girls, mostly naked, while other party-goers laughed their collective butts off. (good good good)

Sunday morning I woke up with a stiff knee from paint-twister. (bad bad bad)

Sunday morning I got some horizontal mambo from da man. (good good good)

I drove home and took a three-hour nap and now I feel icky. (bad bad bad)

Crud. That's 5 to 4 in favor of bad. I'm a badddd girl. Oh, and I drank with a straw all weekend. EEK! 6 to 4 in favor of bad.

The only thing bad about you is your penchant for exaggeration. You gave two forks of cake a rating of three bads. No way. Two bads and not a penny more. Keep it up, Chickadee, and you'll have to sit out the next three scene parties.

It was REALLY REALLY good cake!

The next scene party is a five-day camping trip, which I will miss because I will be in Florida for my birthday. That should count for three regular parties. (nods wisely)

What I always say, "sometimes it isn't what you eat, it is about what you DIDN'T eat".

Some frosting, 2 bites of cake while not "good", in the past what would you have eaten?

I ate a handful of almonds tonight but bAck in the day, it would be a bag of them and some Cookies as well.

Ehhh your man has a wife? I think that issue needs to be addressed first....

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

We're in a loving, poly relationship.

Here is the note she sent me after this weekend: You are amazing. Thank you for everything you did for me this weekend and everything you have brought to our lives. We are so lucky to have found such a caring, loving and gentle soul to share our lives with. I have so much love for you.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
