I had my pre-op yesterday...eek! Met with the exercise physiologist which was really interesting, he broke down my body fat and composition and gave you an idea based on your lean body mass what your ideal goal should be, which was a lot more realistic than the stupid BMI chart. Also found out I am only going to be in the hospital one night! That surprised me, but apparently they don't perform the Leak test anymore which is awesome because contrast taste like sh*t lol

Hi. I'm excited also. I have a surgery date scheduled for 9/20. I know this is not going to be easy so I wanted to join a support group where there are people going to have the surgery around the same time so I'm glad I found one.

I'm just a few days ahead of you. My doctors making me do the liquid diet for 3 weeks (ughhh) so I'll start on the 18th

I started my liquid diet Monday, August 29, 2016. My surgery day is September 12. The diet is really hard but I have to push through it. I just don't like the Protein Shakes (and I've tried many of them). I'm sticking with Premier because they seem to be the best nutritionally, plus I can ALMOST stand the taste! Good luck to everyone and we'll all meet back here with wonderful results.

My date is September 12th! I've only been on the pre-op diet for a couple of days, but the last two days I've had a pretty bad headache, which I've read is pretty normal. But other than that, I've been doing ok. I'm a little nervous because the weekend is coming up and I tend to struggle on the weekend when I'm dieting. But I'm going to try to stay busy and focused on my end goal. I'm so excited. It's been a long journey. 10 more days!

Well I had my surgery today at 7:30. The doctor said it went amazing and I'm telling you the pain is barely existent. I started drinking Clear liquids around 4 o'clock today and I've been walking a lot which definitely helps with the pain. The only downfall is how extremely dry and mouth is been LOL. I guess it's a small price to pay

On post op day two. Came home from the hospital last night. Today woke up a little more sore but I also haven't taken any of my pain pills. Walking helps with pain.

The weirdest part is being hungry but not really. I guess this is the head hunger everyone talks about. I couldn't imagine eating right now but when my fiancé eats around me I'm definitely eyeing it haha

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
