For me and Gucci (my Chinese crested): grilled Skate wings, grilled Brussel sprouts with nutritional yeast, homemade apple sauce. Yum

I've been having my annual asparagus festival. It includes many asparagus omelets. Yours, ISG, is much like mine, but I do feta with Greek oregano rather than goat. After decades of trying to acquire a taste for the latter, it failed, not even the fresh, creamy types. I can't get past what is to me the barnyard fragrance.

The store where I do most of my shopping ran its good, early course. The asparagus now comes in with appallingly thick stems, perhaps as bad as 2/3" diameter. I'm not fond of gnawing wood, so I've transferred my affections to the nearby farmers' market on a more frequent basis. Asparagus, like eggs and cheese, is a reason to live.

I have Brussels sprouts and asparagus. I went with the asparagus this evening.

Have you tried them grilled or roasted with a sprinkling of nutritional yeast and crushed garlic??? Yummmmyyyy. My daughter(33yrs) and I eat them as a snack.

The roasted nutritional yeast tastes like toasty cheese.--and it adds 8gr of Protein

I buy it at my area health food store--bulk. I can get a quart for about $5.

Amazon and Walmart sell it, but as a seasoning, therefore much more expensive.

Happy hunting! It is a wonderful find.

We had pizza tonight; I had the toppings only (actually didn't finish all of it) and I ordered two meatballs; ate half of one. Didn't have much today. Breakfast was a one egg cheese omelette and I tried bacon today (1 piece). It went well :)

I was busy preparing for Memorial Picnic tomorrow with family. Had lots of cooking to do. Made a macaroni BLT salad (new recipe) and my daughter and husband said it was fabulous! I also made Memphis style cole slaw for the BBQ ribs and chicken we made today (homemade BBQ Sauce that is sugar free and low carb). I actually still need to bake my husband's birthday cake! I'm exhausted from cleaning, laundry, cooking/baking. I don't want to move anymore today!

I'm afraid I didn't do so well with Protein today. I may be able to get in a shake yet tonight.

I ended up at a chinese restaurant for an impromtu dinner. I opted for steamed shrimp and broccoli with lemon sauce on the side.

And I may or may not have eaten half of an egg roll. After a decade of sub-par egg rolls from crappy North Dakota chinese restaurants I needed a good one, dammit!

We ordered " poisson braise" or grilled fish (whole) from local restaurant. I had 1/4 tilapia fish with tomatoes n onion salad and freshly made extra hot chilli sauce.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
