I'm in the exact same spot! I've been the same weight for 2 weeks. Down 20lbs. Surgery was 5/2. It's frustrating.

I had my surgery in kuala lumpur. I am 4weeks out since 5/5 gastric sleeve surgery with low bmi 34..

The doctor dont have follow up plan.

Im so confused what to eat and what not eat. I asked the Dr. And he said i should consult with dietician. The dietician give me glucerna milk which i dont quite like the taste is soooo sweeettt. And im not diabetic at all.

I lost 5kg for the post op 1st week liquid and stall until now.

2nd week not eating well mostly just drink Soups and Water. I drink any Soups and little bit of Protein drink which i barely cant finish it in 100ml.

So i dont know much calorie i took for a day and i dont know what to do.

The 3rd week i jumped into solid like beef and chicken and fish.

About 50grams per meal. Poached and steam. Sometimes i chewed and i throw it out without swallow it.

I feel so discourage and i feel so terrible as the scale doesnt move at all for the past 3weeks. So I stop taking Vitamins and even worst i dont eat regularly. No Breakfast. Messy schedule. No meal plan. I feel so hopeless

The doctor only precribed controloc for 2months and never recommend me any Vitamins. But i do learn from youtube so i took Multivitamins, caltrate d600, Biotin GNC, B12 GNC.

I found this bariatricpal and i wish there is someone who can help me. Perhaps going through the same like me.

I had my one month appointment today. I'm down 22 lbs. I haven't lost weight in a week and a half. This could be a stall but I'm not sure yet. So now it's on to soft foods but I'm not sure I'm ready to give up my smoothies. My doctor wants me down to 1 smoothie a day.

Apparently there's a dreaded third week stall that happens to a lot of folks. You'll start to lose again soon, just stick to the plan :) Also I heard that many don't lose a ton of weight the first month because their body is still in shock/ healing.

Congratulations!

Yes, almost everyone experiences a stall about three weeks after surgery.

Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids, take your Vitamins and supplements as directed, and exercise when cleared.

I'm not sure why they didn't give you a meal plan. Try contacting the doctor again. On line are some get resources for each stage. You should be on pureed or soft foods at this point. Check with your doctor or another bariatric clinic in your area to see if you can get a better idea of what stage you at because each doctor is different.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
