Hey... congratulations on your recovery.

I wouldn't worry about your weight loss for now.

During the first month your body is recovering and what you lose has no effect on your long term success.

You will stall in a couple of weeks... and this is very normal.

Do not obsess about the scales because it will drive you crazy!! Put it away and concentrate on getting your Protein and fluids.

Weight will not come off in a uniform way.. you will stall then lose... stall then lose...

I am 1 week post opp surg was may 17. I was 246 before surgery and now 237. am Iosing at a good pace? Also I'm not getting my recommended Water and Protein.

As far as I am concerned, the numbers on the scale are pretty irrelevant until you can reliably get in your Protein and fluids every day. Getting enough protein and fluids is critical for healing and for weight loss.

That said, none of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all experience stalls and slow downs and almost everyone has a stall about three weeks after surgery. Weight gain in the first week of surgery is usually because of the IV fluids and swelling (you did just have major surgery).

Just follow your program.

Focus on getting in at least 64 oz of Fluid and reaching your protein target. Take your Vitamins and supplements as instructed. Exercise when cleared. Stay off the scale.< /p>

And, Embrace the Stall

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
