I certanly haven't and 5 days post surgery sounds really fast. Are you taking your Vitamins? work hard on getting Protein down somehow.

I wish you the best of luck!

So far it is a great decision for me and I wouldn't change a thing!

Maybe it is just me being paranoid. I have been afraid of losing my hair, so perhaps Im thinking about it too hard. I am taking Vitamins, and getting better each day as far as getting the liquids down.

Thanks for your wishes, and the best to you as well.

My nutritionist warned that lack of Protein might cause loss of hair. I think you need to speak to Dr. and / or nutritionist about boosting your protein intake. I am finding that there are lots of high Protein Shakes and additives as well as foods out there that is making it easier for me.

I'm almost 3 months out and mine is definitely starting to thin. I'm scared to death! I heard Biotin and extra Protein help. I'm going to get some this week and I'll let you know.

5 days out sounds kinda quick though....

I haven't been banded yet, but I did talk to my hairdresser earlier and she said that if I made sure I had enough Protein and massaged my scalp I would be OK. I am on a preop diet and have been taking Protein Shakes and my hair hasn't looked better. One thing I have found is that if you are having trouble taking in all of your protein, when you mix your protein shakes, just double the scoops in your Water or milk and that way you still take in the same amount of liquid but double your protein. Good Luck on your journey. Take care.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
