So I'm currently still pre op w/ surgery tentitively in late June but I've noticed a few NSVs that I'm quite proud of! First of all I got on my scale at home and I was actually able to weigh myself before it would always say "error" or "ol" for over load... I know encouraging words right? Not! Lol my second NSV is that before when I got into my car my stomach touched /rubbed against the steering wheel I'm pretty short and have to sit kinda close to reach the brake haha. But now (I have not moved my seat) there's about 3 inched between me and the wheel! Again I'm still preop but I'm loving these results already and actually seeing a different is amazing! So far I've lost 40 lbs and hoping to lose 20 more before surgery!!! What are some of your NSV 's?

First off congratulations on the NSV...this is just the start for you and it will just keep getting better...I too have had that NSV but now I have a different issue...you see I bought my car before my surgery and was much bigger....I pretty much bought the car that I could fit in and now I am having problems because the car is getting too big for me...but not complaining :)

When I retired I bought a little sports car, a Mazda Miata with a hardtop convertible. But as I gained a little more weight prior to surgery, it was becoming difficult to fit inside the vehicle. It was extremely tight. I almost got to the point that the only way I could get into the car was to take the top down first.

Now after surgery, the car fits like a glove.

"@@James Marusek" Nice car! Maybe after I lose weight my reward will be a little convertible! :-)

Sounds like a nice goal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
