What kind of results are people getting...

Recommended Posts

I am now down 30 pounds. Memorial day I started walking about 3/4 of a mile a day, I am now up to 2.25 miles per day. I am thrilled with my results. This is the lowest I have been in about 16 years!

Getting my balloon out tomorrow- I've lost 47 pounds! I cannot say it has been easy, but I am very happy I did it.for some reason the last few weeks has been particularly tough, lots of bloating, heartburn, generally feeling crummy. I'm not sure why, perhaps my stomach has had enough. Anyway, I can't wait to get it out and start to feel normal again. Has anyone heard how long it takes to recover from removal, how you feel after its out?

I had mine removed in May and only a sore throat for a few days! Everything else went back to normal! I didn't have to take anymore meds for heartburn, bloating or anything!!! After two days my appetite came back to normal so be careful as you can easily slip back into old habits! Since removal in May I had lost 50lbs and gained back 10 lbs and lost 5 again! My doctor gave be phentermine to use for now so I can try to stay on track!

I've had it in for a week and have lost 5.7kgs which works out to 12.5 lbs. I must add that I think a lot of that weight was all the IV fluids and stuff because I came out the hospital 2.7kgs more than what I weighed when I went in. Still thrilled with the results so far!

that's my concern.. i hope i have taught myself a new lifestyle of healthy eating and once the balloon is removed not go back to my old, bad habits.

my balloon was placed on july 7th.. as of today, i have lost 9lbs.

That is my concern too!!! Let's hope we learn some good habits. I know eating had become a bit of a recreational activity for me! Fingers crossed for all of us!! You're doing really great!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
