Regurgitation, yet no new fill???

Recommended Posts

Today Im doing bad..Im going down to Mexico tomorrow.I cant live with this. I do not beleive it is from my filled being too tight. It feels like something is broken. It is not reflux or heartburn. The prevacid has not worked I have taken it twice. I have been doing the Maloxx and yesterday it worked great but today nothing. I'm in pain and uncomfortable. I will let you all know what happens. I'm miserable and a little scared. Keep your fingers crossed

Oh Michelle :) I'm so sorry to hear this.

I am, however, very glad that you have probably one of the best band docs and he is available to you so readily. You're very lucky in that sense. Please do keep us posted. I'm definitely going to be praying it is only something very minor. You've done so well. I sure hope nothing slows that down. :D Good luck to you.

Hi Leatha,

I did get a copy of the message you sent about my pills in my e-mail, but it did not show up on the boards??? At any rate, I only take 4 pills that are medication (and they are pretty small), and I bought chewable daily Vitamins, Vitamin C, and Calcium. I too now take them one at a time even though they are small. Does anyone have a suggestion about how to take Tylenol? Thanks for your concern Leatha (an unusual name like mine!!)

Sultana, you can dissolve most pills in a tablespoon of Water for ease in swallowing. You can use liquid Tylenol or the caplets that can easily be broken in half before taking (and dissolved if needed.) If you are taking any time released prescriptions, those can be changed to regular pills. Please be careful with pills. They can get stuck, set there, and cause problems. Hope you're feeling better!

Hmm. I see the post up there, but sometimes this board does weird things. lol.

Tylenol - I've taken with Water alone, however, you don't want to let it sit in your pouch. Drink enough water to wash it through thoroughly. You might even consider keeping liquid Tylenol on hand as it's much easier to wash through.

Michelle - I am so sorry to hear you are still having problems. Hopefully it will be something simple. My thoughts will be with you tomorrow. Please post and let us know how you are doing.

Hugs!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
