Dr. Fass and inverted gastric sleeve

Recommended Posts

That's who I'm using as well. Still going through the process though, surgery not scheduled yet.

Twins, you are/were seeing Dr. Fass, but your concerned he won't be the one doing your surgery?

Just call the office and ask.

Twins, let us know what they say.

Also, is yours a day surgery or are you staying overnight?

I looked into this guy/procedure as well even though he's out of state for me. I was pretty interested but couldn't find many reviews. Following.

would this be like a plication? i've heard that those have much less success rate and greater risks than a straight sleeve- but i'm not sure if this is the same??

It's like any regular gastric sleeve except an "added" measure (not instead of) of stitching the stapled part. I had to YouTube it before.

How am I coming along?

I'm feeling a little frustrated today. After 3 tries to get my psych evaluation (done by a contracted Psychologist through True Results), I've been ignored. Dr. Fass' office said they can't request them for me, which I found odd, but maybe there are rules/laws with mental health records - who knows. I know my faxes and phone calls have gone unanswered and it's super frustrating. I have one appointment left (on Aug 12th) and if I had my psych eval to give to Dr. Fass we would be able to submit to insurance soon after that appointment.

I'm at a loss on what to do, so I messaged my insurance nurse to see if she had any ideas, and if not would my insurance cover another psych evaluation. I'm about to see if my PCP would request the records for me - I'm feeling desperate.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
