Hope everyone is doing well!! I'm down 22 pounds from May 16th. Feeling good for the most part. Sticking to low carb high Protein meals. Easy on sugary stuff as I already experienced the dreaded "dumping syndrome" getting in Protein is Struggle but I'm getting better day by day

Cool you and I have lost the same thing since surgery...I'm at 22.2...........and 48 over all!! I'm doing great!

I'm down 31 so far since May 19th!

I had my sleeve surgery in WA. state the morning of May 16, 2016 and so far I've had a very smooth experience. I'm down 31 lbs. since surgery and 60 lbs. from my highest weight. I do exercise daily with an hour of Water aerobics and 20 minutes of walking. I am able to meet an average of 70-80 grams of protein/day and very restricted carbs. My NUT wants me to eliminate the fruit smoothies I have for Breakfast, which she calls slider foods, and to use more food items that are not processed through a Ninja which breaks down the Fiber.

I do have a few cups of caffeinated coffee every morning and she would like me to just have one cup. Overall, this has been a very positive experience and now to continue to lose another 85 lbs. or so.

Paul

I'm doing great! Never felt better. I haven't had any issues and feel like I'm doing well with my weight loss. I'm a little more than half way to my goal at almost 57 pounds lost.....(that includes what I lost during the two weeks pre-op).

@@evette305 I don't use any Protein shakes, and haven't since I was about 4 weeks post-op. I hate all of them. I get all my Protein from the food I eat,.

I'm doing great, down almost 81 pounds and only 26 pounds from my "pie in the sky" goal...haha Actually I do think I may have set my goal a little too low....I'm thinking I'll be happy with about 15 more instead of the 26.

How about you @@bellawlsjourney ?

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
