I have a dilemma. I have lost 60+ pounds since my 1/6/16 surgery. I am thrilled to death! However, the weight loss hasn't been propotionate..I've lost more in my boobs/legs/hips than in my belly. I understand that everyone loses differently but I'm having a tough time finding jeans! Everything that fits around my belly is saggy in my butt! Any suggestions? Does anyone know a style or type of jeans that I might be able to try until my belly gets a little smaller?

Thanks!

I feel your pain but in a different way. I can wear like a 14 in the waist but my legs-calves mostly are still bigger and the legs of the jeans don't fit so I have to get bigger ones to accommodate my legs. I have the perpetual baggy butt when wearing jeans right now.

YOU MIGHT TRY MATERNITY JEANS AS A TEMPORARY MEASURE UNTIL THINGS EVEN UP.

I don't know what size you are but if you are a 12 or above I suggest the jeans at torrid. They have a decent stretch to them so you can buy a size that fits your legs and butt and they will still stretch around your tummy. I have always had slimmer legs, no butt and have carried my weight in my stomach so these have been my go to jeans for years. They are a little pricey but the often have but 1 get one 50% off sales and coupons you can find online.

I'm still pre-op but my belly is bigger than the rest of me... I would suggest old navy rock star skinny, mid rise.... Ny York and company has very stretchy Jeggings... These jeans are all cheaper... Congrats on your weight loss

I am the same shape. I have no butt, no thighs really, but my bulk of my weight is across my belly and hips. I find the Lane Bryant skinny jeans work really well. They have stretch so it's not painful in the belly, but are "skinny" enough that they still hug my butt and thighs. Definitely worth it. Just don't buy too many because you seriously won't make back your money wearing them before you are on to the next size.

I used to work at Lane Bryant and they had jeans that fit different body types. My issue had always been that I have a large stomach and bird legs. Yay me! And their jeans worked well. I'll see if i can link you. I believe Torrid has the same type of jean as well.

They were called Right Fit, but it looks like they've switched over to Genius Fit. But yeah, they're expensive.

I so wish I could wear jeans/ pants. All my weight is in my hips and thighs and I haven't worn jeans in 25 years! Even losing over 65 lbs hasn't let me fit into pants. And I DO NOT WEAR stretch pants. So I'm looking forward to losing more weight, having the plastic surgery for the excess droopy skin and someday I will walk into Nordstroms and ask the personal shopper to find me some pants!!! I'm happy for the rest of you gals! Happy shopping!!

Try Maurice's. They have jeans for every body type.

This was going to be my suggestion too. I also had to buy a belt because the waist and butt would be too big but I can't get the jeans small enough to fit those parts and not be too tight in the legs. The belt is helping a lot; who knew! I haven't worn a belt in 20 years. I've also been doing a ton of squats and lunges to improve my flat butt.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
