does anyone else feel irritated that we can't complete a day of logging in food if you don't have more than 1000 calories? let me know if there's any way to get around this

One way to avoid it is to not click the "complete" button.

Another is to make an artificial placeholder entry (example: make an entry for 200 calories or whatever with no Protein, carbs or fat.

It, just ignore it.

Customize your calorie amount. In the menu option go to goals Under nutrition goals "Calorie and macro-nutrients goals"

Chang the default goal to what ever number you like I had mine at 600 but changed it to 800 now.

Great advice! Thank you.

I discovered this too (just a while ago), and now I am reading your post re customising under Goals :)

I changed my calories, and also had to change my Protein, Carbs and Fat percentages, as under my New calorie goal, the automatic readings for Proteins, etc were not right for me at this stage.

So, it can be fixed!

I made my own nutritional sheet in my computer. As I eat something new I enter it into my master sheet. It totals up all of the important information of my food intake.

I saw my NUT (Dietician today),

Told her re : MyFitnessPal

She said that she had to work out the numbers and percentages for few of her bariatric clients.

So here are My adjusted measures for me at MyFitnessPal.

So for me these are the recommended Daily measures:

1. 800 calories
2. Protein 40%, which is 60-70 g
3. Carbs 35%
4. Fats 25%

Now, for the shock of hers ideal weight goal for me ...... 68kg! Up to 74kg with the sleeve .....
OMG!!!

I am willing at this stage to downgrade my goal of 60kg to 65kg.
I will adjust my weight ticker to 65 kg.

Grrrrrrr ......

I forgot to add that these measures are for me for Now,

I currently started the Phase 4 post op: Minced/Mashed Texture for 2 weeks.

So, the above measures may need to be adjusted again, later on.

Couldn't find the Edit button after posting earlier .....

Yes, I mainly use the website for the MyFitnessPal. Adjusted everything on their website.

I have the app, but find it easier to use on my Mac.

I just couldn't edit my earlier post here, on this forum ..... :)

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
