Getting protein/liquids in? And hair loss question

Recommended Posts

So I very very recently got sleeved (on March 9th). I am super excited to be moving on to stage 2 of my diet -i never thought I would be this excited for vegetables!- but I'm having problems getting the protein/liquids in. I can't stand drinking just Water, so I have been drinking diluted cranberry juice (which I found out I also have a UTI right before I went into surgery but they never put me on meds - long story). That has helped a lot, but I'm still not getting the Protein intake I need. What are some good, liquid diet options, for protein intake? I am almost at the point where I just want to chuck the "Breakfast carnation" drinks out the window. I'm soooo sick and tired of drinking them. They hurt my stomach, but I can get puréed vegetable Soup down just fine. Any hints? I am absolutely terrified about the Hair loss as well. Was it super noticeable?

Premier Protein drinks are wonderful. 30 grams of Protein each. I purchased mine at costco and 6 months out I'm still drinking. eggs are a great source too. I'm experiencing Hair loss but nothing so outrageous thus far. I'm taking a hair and nail supplement. Gl

I like nectar but not all of the flavors are good. I got a sample pack so that I could try a bunch and so far there are about 3 I like. It's all about personal preference.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
