I am right there with you. Post op Day 4. And it is all overwhelming. food is such an emotional thing. It's like they pulled us away from our mother on the first day of school. Some kicking and screaming. I am just feeling sad. Time does heal.

Exactly ! @@laura_rose16 and now I'm waiting for 2 more weeks to eat some tuna when I'd rather have a steak lol

I am missing my comfort too ..... This is our withdrawal period during rehab. That's how I like to think of it.... In retrospect this will probably be the hardest part.

I had the sleeve done a couple days ago, and I feel like no one around me knows the pain I'm in. Sometimes I feel I won't accept my "new body" since I've been overweight basically since my adolescent. Probably just need to vent.

NYC here. Was sleeved 5/29/15. HW 350. How are you? I know how you feel along of the others here. I thought I would regret this surgery but after 6 months and seeing the results I had it was the best decision I ever made. I added a pic to share. Looking forward to hearing from you. post-244766-14580897858255_thumb.jpg

Wow you look amazing, so over time how has your diet changed? Are you still monitoring how much Protein you get in your daily diet?

Thank you [emoji4]. I pretty much able to eat anything thankfully but I watch what I eat and how much I eat of it. I make a lot of homemade chili with chicken and Beans that will last me a few days but I usually freeze some for another time. Also eat a lot of egg whites. Most of the time I get a piece of chicken and potato. I kinds stick to the 4-6 oz range. Hope to talk again.

So I knew already getting into this journey it would be difficult with the food because I'm spanish and of course we love to eat unhealthy good lol. But I'm gonna stick to that 4-6 oz measurement...I think it'll help me out alot. Thanks

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
