Acid Reflux bad! Could it be a Slip or something else?

Back story: I've had my band for 5 years. I just had a baby in November. Towards the end of the pregnancy I had a lot of restriction and really bad heart burn and acid reflux.

Since delivery the acid reflux has not gone away. Some days are worse than others. Water even sits in my throat most of the time. I have woken up in the middle of the night choking on acid/fluid and started vomiting. I pop tums all day long and take zantac at night.

Have any of you experienced something like this? If so..what was it and what did you do?

I know I have to make an appt but I don't want tests or medication to interfere with nursing for right now ..so I'm trying to hold off

  • It could be gallstones. I had similar symptoms when I was pregnant (I didn't have a band though).
