I love Penzey's as well. One of my favorites is the Chicago steak seasoning which is ironic because I love it on grilled chicken. We have a store in Houston but I'm afraid to go there because I will want to come home with one of everything.

I think I have more Condiments and seasonings in my refrigerator and pantry than actual food.

What have you discovered or do you use to add flavor to your meals? Any basics or gourmet spices, seasonings, herbs, or condiments that you can't live without?

I love browsing specialty food stores and our local Amish markets looking for different flavorings. I am still trying to learn how to use many of them.

I just opened a jar of this mustard that I bought before Christmas from Southern Seasons. I added a dab to the plain sliced deli turkey and green onion cheese that I ate for lunch and it has quite a kick. I also happen to like the idea that it comes packaged in a nice glass.

Braswell's Smoky Chipotle Mustard

I've been thinking about placing an order with Braswell's, but every time I look at their site I can't decide: I will eventually either wind up ordering one thing, or everything they sell. I may be giving mustard for Christmas this year!

I didn't see any "Valentina's" hot sauce on your list. Ever try it??

Of course I, who can not tolerate hot or spicy gets a bottle of it every year for my birthday.

Oh well, it's great for re-gifting.

I do love well seasoned food. There is a difference, I think.

Enjoy the spice, you hot mamas and stud muffins!

:)

LOL.

I've actually been afforded an entire cabinet for my spices......and my own private drawer for my knives. Peril lies for any who open either..........

I use flavor god seasonings. Most of my Condiments are either trader joes or Walden Farms.< /p>

I make my own tartar sauce with mayo (real or walden farms) dill relish (has to be dill so there is no sugar), and a dash of seasoning and a dab of mustard.

I make my own honey mustard with mayo, yellow mustard and a few drops of liquid stevia.

If you look at the ingredients of most commercial seasons in the store like marinades and all the packaged spices they are full of crap. Which is why I like Flavor God, almost all of them are paleo compliant.

I get a lot of my dried herbs and spices at the Amish store.
I'm in the soft diet phase and ALL I eat is tuna, and scrambled eggs. ..lol... aside from my protien shakes and Water of course. . But what we're some of your favorites? (If u don't mind sharing ) I mean would it be ok to make me a tiny meal in this phase?

It is grilling season. I read most of this thread but excuse if I post something that someone else has posted.

I have tried a few sugar free BBQ sauces.

Walden Farms is okay. It is easily accessible, at least around here most of the nicer grocery stores carry it.

Hughes is okay, better than Walden Farms has a fake sweetner aftertaste, but its not bad if you are used to fake sweetener. It is available at some Walmarts, it seems like the ones in my area stopped carrying it, but they did a few months ago.

Now onto the best I have tried...

Guy's Famous

This tastes just like BBQ Sauce, no after taste for me. I had my carb and sugar loving friend test it and they loved it too (your tastes can get a little skewed when you never have sugar, so I needed a neutral party). Delicious amazing. I might use it to make some lower carb baked Beans. Summer is saved! I haven't seen it in stores but you can buy it online.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
