What Fitness Tracker do you use?

Recommended Posts

Jawbone UP3. It tracks my heart rate, sleep patterns, and exercise and is Water resistant. Can wear it showering and swimming but not supposed to submerge it below a certain depth, if I recall correctly. I liked the Fitbit, too, but enjoy the UP app better. The app provides daily goals and reminders and educational pieces. You can also set the band to buzz if you need reminders to move, take meds, etc. Like many of the other fitness bands, the UP3 integrates seamlessly with myfitnesspal. There's a clip-on version, but it doesn't have the bells and whistles. My only complaint about the UP3 is the way that it fastens. It kind of slides/clips in, and the band can come off or catch on things occasionally if you're not careful. Hasn't happened often but worth mentioning. I find the UP3 to be reasonably accurate. I also like that it's just a slim band. I don't like wearing watches or bracelets, but I can handle this.

I have a Fitbit HR which I got for the heart rate monitor but for years I used an Omron clip on which was really accurate. I don't recall the model number but at the time it was listed as the most accurate by Consumer Reports.

Fitbit Blaze, love it so far. Have had it 2 months now. I wish it were waterproof, my only quibble.

I had a jawbone up 3., then a Fitbit charge. Then the Apple Watch. If cost isn't a concern, The Apple Watch for me was by far the best for me.

Garmin Vivosmart HR for me.

Waterproof, tracks stairs climbed and descended, sleep, syncs to MFP app, great battery life.

Oh, it's waterproof. ;)

I have a Fit Bit Charge HR and really like it. I wanted the Heart Rate function. I am not sure how accurate the calorie count is, I think it is exaggerated. It syncs well with multiple systems/apps. It is a good motivator for me to get up and moving.

I have a Fitbit HR and just recently got a Fitbit Blaze. I like having the heart rate function and I enjoy the challenges with others. It keeps me motivated.

I don't use a device. I use mapmywalk to track my workouts and periodically enter my food data for a check up on my calories.

Another one with a Garmin Vivosmart HR. I swapped over from the fitbit and have never looked back. Totally waterproof and it adjusts your totals to keep you challenged. If you are consistently smashing 10K steps, it will adjust your targets upwards. If you do less than 10K, it will meet you where you are. Absolutely love it

I use the Fitbit Charger HR. It does everything u from counting your steps, heart rate, stairs, the Fitbit app does everything for you, from sincing it, how much sleep you got, its got a food tracker, putting in your weight, and the exercises that you do each day. I highly recommend this Fitbit. Oh, one more thing I forgot to mention is it even tells you the time.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
