Transdermal Multi Vitamin Patches

Recommended Posts

I have a very hard time getting my Vitamins down, I'm talking getting stuck and throwing up. I can't do chewables either.

I've ordered vitamin patches from Patch MD. According to the label, you'll get all the Vitamin A you're required to get after being sleeved through a patch. Has anyone else tried the Vitamin Patch and if so how was your lab work?

I have a hard time believing you could get minerals through a patch. Does it include Calcium, magnesium, Iron, etc? How far out from surgery are you?

I tried the patch for a couple of weeks, and I liked it. Then I saw MD and they said not to use them because there is no proof on how much you really absorb. I went back to swallowing pills, I could not stand the chewables any longer. I have read on here some people that use them and say their labs are good. I would like to go back to them, lets see what others say.

I use these Patches. I consulted my NUT first and he said they've have several patients use them and not have any deficiencies.

I was also having a hard time with Vitamins. The bariatric ones didn't sit well on my stomach and I would throw up the regular ones. I asked my NUT about the Patches and she said no because there was no proof they actually worked. I am on flinstone vitamins right now and my labwork looks fine.

I'm seven days out! I would think the proof that they work would be in your lab work!

No Vitamins are actually tested by the FDA so you can say that you don't know what you're absorbing by taking pills either. That's why your doctor should do labs to see. I've been using the Patches for three months and just had labs done last week. They all came back perfect!

Thank you! My NUT said I could try them out. We'll know when my first labs come back. She also said that me trying them for 2-3 months wasn't going to be bad for me. Can't wait to see if they work for me!

How are your labs?

I work for a bariatric surgery program - and I'm also a patient. (26 months post-op VSG) I just had my annual lab work taken, and haven't been supplementing my diet with anything other than sublingual B12.< /p>

We've established a baseline, and today I have started using the 'Multivitamin Patch' from PatchMD. We will be rechecking labs in 60 and 90 days to monitor the efficacy of this product. Will keep you updated!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
