Hey there! Just had my surgery scheduled for 2/9. Glad to see I won't be alone! I was supposed to have surgery last Friday, but I was sick and had to reschedule. I can't believe (after 5 million hurdles and unforeseen stuff) that this is going to happen! Let's K.I.T. ????

Pre-op blood work did not go well. Went in at 9am and the nurse could not get any blood. She tried both arms and still nothing. She said I may be dehydrated.

They sent me to a lab tech for a second try in my hand and wrist still nothing. Needless to say both arms are sore and I'm drinking Water like crazy to try again tomorrow.

The good part is they have my urine sample and heart monitor results.

Tip: Drink plenty of Water before blood work.

Will report back tomorrow.

Sorry to hear they couldn't get any blood, that really bites - tomorrow will be better ????

I'm getting sleeved 2/9 as well! Mixed emotions are happening. Super excited for it to be happening but really nervous for surgery.

Man, sorry to hear about the preop blood drawing nonsense. I just gave blood a few days ago (I give 4xs a year due to my RA), and make it a habit to chug a ton of Water before a draw. Learned the hard way a few times. ????

Has anyone on the preop diet been light headed? I will suddenly get light headed and then it goes away.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
