Early 2016 - what are you streaming on netflix, amazon etc?

Recommended Posts

Netflix just added "Better Call Saul" to its instant streaming playlist. This drama series centers around the lawyer character from "Breaking Bad." The first few shows that I have seen are fantastic.

For those of you that like the macabre, just discovered a series on Amazon Prime called "Hannibal". It is pre- Silence of the Lambs, when Hannibal Lector was a brilliant psychiatric working for the FBI. Only watched 2 episodes but it is captivating so far.

@@mngreeneyes romcom=romantic comedy?

I watch alot of British originated shows. There was only one season of a detective show called River I liked. Last Tanto in Halifax about the lovers reunited as seniors, although I got bored with it.

Yes. Romantic comedy.

I don't know if I've seen River. Last Tango was good for a little while, but have you seen the man from that show in Vicious? Hysterical.

I'm going to watch Better Call Saul again. I watched it on regular tv and just ffed through all the commercials. I am hung up on the Sopranos right now. I have the DVDs. I loved Nurse Jackie and I wanted to watch her again in the Sopranos. It's amazing how she went straight from mafia wife to nurse with a complete different personality. 7 years on each show, back to back. She's a great actress.

I am going to ck out Jane the Virgin. I've been wondering about it and now it got a good review on here.

I have Amazon prime but I've never turned it on. I need to do that.

I am a documentary geek, and have posted about some great ones before..... but ones I watched recently

Soaked in Bleach - about Kurt cobain of Nirvana death. Told from the point of view of the private investigator that Courtney Love hired to find him when he first went missing. Conspiracy theory of course, but given that Kurt was a hometown sensation and Courtney much reviled, was interesting to me. Kurt had the most beautiful eyes.

First peoples -Amazon Prime - right up my geeky alley. This is a multi part documentary by PBS about early human migration and what the DNA evidence shows....Neanderthal, and several other now dead branches of our genetic trees explored. I love this stuff.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
