Omg! Cheating on 2 week diet

Recommended Posts

I'm 5 days away from surgery and I decided to have a slice of pizza at my son birthday party... Omg! I feel soooo bad and a bit scared that I won't have my surgery due to this slip up...

You are so right... Thanks

You've got this.

Just keep everything simple and strictly adhere to your plan. This will eliminate temptation from bothering you.

The loss that you'll see by doing the pre-op will invigorate you and build your on your commitment. I promise.

I cheated on my pre op. More than a slice of pizza I hate to say. I cheated 3 times. You will be fine, just stick to the plan from this point out. Be a good girl! Hahaha. You will get to eat soon enough.

Put it behind you and move forward. DO NOT waste energy worrying about it. You can't erase it so just make today a legal day and stay that way until surgery. I start my liver shrinking diet tomorrow and I know it will be brutal. I have to be on it for 3 weeks. Only 20 grams of carbs allowed. I've been doing 80 grams for past 2 months with 6 small meals a day and that was hard. Now it's only 20 grams. My mindset is that it's only 3 weeks and following it will insure my surgery will not need to be delayed. I know it's easy to say all this as I haven't begun yet! I'll be here telling y'all about it! You can count on that!

I'm beginning my journey with the Protein shakes. I've replaced Breakfast with them so far. I will begin replacing lunch as well within the next week. My last two appointments before going to insurance for final approval are mid-late February, so hopefully by then I will be adjusted to drinking just the Protein Shakes. The morning shakes are pretty good, and it was not a hard transition since I'm not a big eater in the morning anyway, so this is right up my alley. I do like my lunches though, so that might be a bit tough to get through.

I'm on my 2 week liquid diet and I have tbought about cheating to many times (I've only been doing it for 2.5 days.lol) This is rough! I'm doing my best not to cheat but it's so hard! I have a 4 year old and 1 year old that I'm having to feed when they're hungry so that's hard. plus I'm still nursing my 1 year old son. (My surgeon knows and 100% supports me nursing through this journey, I'll just have to stop while on pain killers!)

This is a closed/secret group for everyone who is going to have bypass surgery in February 2016!

We would LOVE to have you join in wit us! Just go to Facebook and search my name LaNae Davis Petersen, send me a friend request. I can then send you an invite to secret page and then I'll remove you back off my friends list :)

It's meant to be a positive group who we can all be going through the same things at the same tim on this journey! The goals will be to provide support, bounce questions off each other, have somewhere safe to share on the days that aren't so great, and share our victories on this journey!

MOST importantly it's all confidential, unless you are in this group people can't see the group, who's in it or what the posts are.

Wow! I am so with you! Just finished my first full preop diet day and I was fine until 10 pm. Think I'm going to sleep tomorrow at 8 pm!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
