I'm just looking forward to wearing heels again. I've heard when you loose the weight they are not so uncomfortable to walk on. At the moment I live in rubber slip ons and my feet ache a lot. Hope this all changes.

I wore heels when I was 350. My feet would hurt after a couple hours and most of the next day. Now i can wear heels all day. My feet hurt after maybe 8 or 9 hours and as soon as i take the shoes off the pain ends.

I have long feet, always have, runs in the family. Went from wides back to medium. Mught end up in a narrow, but I hope not, they are as big a pain as wides.

It's my understanding from reading other threads that your feet aren't necessarily fat, but there is less stress and strain on your arches, so they are able to recoil a little or bounce back from how flattened they were with the extra weight. This accounts for having 'shorter' feet after losing weight.

I was just sleeved 12/7. I was wearing 8W and already down to 7.5M. Feels good not to have to buy wides. It's hard to find anything I like it wides and most stores don't carry many.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
