I'm sorry you experienced this terrible treatment. Im not sure I would be going back to him if it were me. I probably would have waited for him to finish & then told him to kiss my a$$ & left.

if I could redo yesterday, I surely would of lol, I'm definitely not going back, thank you

@@byebyefat You can send me a friends request on myfitnesspal and we can share journals. That has helped me a great deal. I agree with everyone else, your surgeon is a jerk. You need to focus on you andnot worry about your surgeon and what he said. Good Luck!

is it the same as your name on here

@@byebyefat I buy my D3 Gelatin pills at costco. They are the Kirkland brand 2000 IU... $11.00 for 600 pills. These pills are very small so no problem swallowing them. I'll also pass on a fact that my Chiro/NUT told me: if I start to feel sick, take 50,000 IU's ( that's 25 of these gelatin pills) once a day for 3 days and it will usually kick whatever bug is trying to invade my system. This has worked most everytime I've done it.

awesome, thank you very much

Timewise you're actually doing good. My surgery was 9/4/15. I was 301 pre-op and I'm now 251. Sounds like you and I both just need to exercise more, and we will see more results.

Have you met with your NUT to go through your food logs to see if he/she has any suggestions or strategies?

the last time I met with my Nut was the beginning of December, at the time my stall was only at a week and a half and she told me it was a normal process and usually means, I'm going to have a upcoming great lost after my stall, told me to eat more Fiber and my food journal was great and to keep up the good work, I see her again next Friday, January 22nd

Your surgeon sounds like he is lacking in the bedside manner department. I don't think you are a failure but there is something wrong here. What is your daily calorie intake? You should still be below 1,000 a day and exercising a minimum of 20- 30 minutes day. Where are you getting your Protein? I was 220 when I had my surgery in 2010 and I averaged around 10lbs a month for the first six months.

What a JERK!! Sorry you were treated that way. It is disgusting.

Regarding stall with Constipation my nutritionist said to take Vitamin they want me to take (Opurity) one day and next day a Multivitamin with low to no Iron. Keep doing this and it worked. No more constipation. We figured it was the Iron and once constipation ended the weight stall ended. Another thing that helped constipation is lying in bed, rub your hands together to warm them up and then rub your stomach in circles, starting around belly button and then get bigger around whole stomach. Do 50 circles total. Be firm but not too hard and this helped me as well. Sounds silly but it works.

I hope things get better for you but DO NOT let the Dr discourage you and keep up the good work!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
