On month 2 of 6. Struggling

Sent from my SM-T550 using the BariatricPal App

I'm headed to my 3rd month and I've struggled and still am. I need to lose 34 pounds. I was able to lose 23.4 but now I feel I hit the stall wall. What are you struggling with? Maybe we can help each other out! :)

I'm just starting too but I'm a cash patient going to Mexico so I don't have to take classes. I do have to start the Atkins phase one for now. I need to lose 20lbs before surgery. 2 weeks prior to surgery I have to start the Vitaleph shakes. I'm getting sleeved June 30th. I'm also scared and keep going back and forth in my head if I'm making the right decision.

I am also a few month into the process. I have my last visit with the dietitian the end of this month. I have already done 2 months of my 3 months supervised with her (per insurance). My psychological was done at the last visit :)

Then I am on to the Surgeon next month for insurance approval and scheduling the big day.

I am also here if you want to chat! Would love talking to others around the same point as me! Good luck!

Just had my surgery consult on Thursday and I don't have to have any tests except the psych eval. I also have to lose 35lbs to get the surgery. I want the sleeve but my surgeon recommends the bypass. I have some research to do first before I make that decision .

My Surgery date is 14 June and waiting to hear about pre-op appointments. I've found changing my diet already has been quite easy. I'm not worried about the actual surgery, just about the right amount of Protein and Water getting in post op. That does kinda freak me out. Fingers crossed.

Hello everyone,

I have already been to the Info session. I have my surgeon appointment on June 9th, i honestly can't wait. My insurance doesn't require anything but my Dr. requires a psych eval, 2 nutrition appointments, and possibly other testing. I'm anxious to get this process started, so i can become a healthier version of myself!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
