Honestly my periods been very irregular since surgery. I was sleeved three months ago and only had my periods once. I think it's big change for body and the extreme weight loss affects the hormones. Other then that only bad thing is about two weeks before my periods my weight loss was minimal but soon as I got them all the Water retention was gone and start dropping weight fast.

I have PCOS so my periods have always been screwy. Before surgery, it had been years since I had an actual, normal period. Within two months after surgery, I got it finally but it was so crampy and painful, and then the next month I got the worst one of my life, and now I haven't had one in a couple months. Who even knows what's going on with my body right now? XD My doctor thinks it will eventually even out. We shall see. :)

I was warned before surgery that my periods might become much more frequent but I've found the opposite to be true - I haven't had a period since October. I still seem to get PMS though. I had my hormones checked and had an ultrasound and everything looks normal. My doc said it should go back to normal after my body adjusts to the massive weight loss.

I have pcos, my period was absent for 8 straight months prior to my surgery date. After surgery I am now every 28 days. Which is something I have never experienced until after surgery.

Yes, I was very normal up until surgery then I started having a period every 14 days. I went in for a Hysteroscopy and ever since seem to be back on track. Definitely change in your hormones can mess you up.

I have PCOS and used to cycle maybe 2 or 3 times a year unless on bc. Then in 2012 it stopped for two years almost to the day. In 2014 I started working out with a trainer and my periods came back almost exactly 28 days apart for the first time in my life! I got my period days after surgery, right on schedule and they have been within a day or two since. I'm only 2 months post-op, but I am on my third period and they seem to be staying on track. I was a little worried about them going haywire again, but so far so good.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
