I feel helpless and stuck..

Um, I don't see where the problem is. Break up with him and kick him out. Why in Gods name would you let him stay if he treats you like crap? He's not your responsibility. He can find somewhere else to live. Crash on a friend's couch if he has to. Mooch off someone else for awhile. Go to a homeless shelter, whatever. I've broken up with three live in boyfriends, although none of them treated me bad. It's just life. It happens. Once I had to move, once he had to move and once we both had to move since we were in an apt and neither could afford the rent alone. And with him treating you the way he does, I wouldn't wait even one more day.

@ I missed your original post so can only guess what you shared, but I am sentimental and even relationships I want to end are terribly difficult for me. I think for me some of it is just my inherent personality...I feel deeply and once I feel a bond to a person, animal or situation...leaving it is hard.

Good luck to you.

@, I, too, obviously missed your message. You may not come back to read this, but I'll say it anyway.

If the issue is that you love this person, love isn't enough. You want someone who loves you back in a loving, productive, partner-like way. Love is supposed to feel good, make us happier, make our lives fuller. Sometimes alone is better.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
