Vaping/E-cigarettes

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, this news report was on yahoo.co.uk today and I'd thought I'd share it. I know quite a few people on here try vaping to reduce/stop their smoking habit before surgery, so just be careful to check the ingredients of the ones you use!

(NB: Obviously news sites want you to click on the article, so I'm uncertain as to the accuracy of their sources, but definitely worth checking regardless).

I'm tired of this bullsh*t. Vaping helped me quit smoking after 25 years. I only vaped for a few months, and no longer vape or smoke, but I'll take vaping over smoking any day. It is FACT that vaping is safer than smoking.

People are going to do it regardless.

Exactly. I smoked for 20 years, anywhere from 1 1/2 packs to 3 packs a day. I quit with e-cigs. I'm sick to death of the fear porn being leveled against e-cigs. It's like people are fanatically obsessed with destroying the one option that can actually save lives by getting people off of cigarettes.

Excuse me for the late reply, just realised I had answers here.

Vaping is a lot safer than cigarettes, of that I have no doubt, the article is just advising caution with some flavours as certain ingredients can cause complications. If you're smoking, vaping is a better option. If you're vaping some of the flavours mentioned, you may want to switch. I wouldn't call that bullshit or fanatical.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
