I'm at the DMV renewing my expired drivers license.

After surgery did you guys change your drivers license?

Mine doesn't expire until 2018. By then I figure I'll be at the weight I want to be and will have been maintaining for a little over a year (had surgery on 07/29/15). So I think I'll wait until then.

It'll be a milestone I can look forward to achieving. Plus the novelty of actually giving my correct weight. ????

The funny thing is that the weight I have on my drivers license is actually closer to my current weight but the picture of me is 95lbs heavier....how will I explain that one on renewal.....ummm. 'Bout the weight part...must have been a "typo" ?!?

I am laughing that I just commented on this a few days ago and last night the lady at the bank asked me for my license.

First off my picture that is on mine license was taken after I was in a car accident and was still recovering from breaking almost every bone on my right side. I was still very much swollen as well as being heavy. I covered some bruising around my nose with makeup. I swelled probably about 10-15 lbs on top of the 265 I was(now 188).

Now on with the story, she asked to see my license, she looked at it and me a few times. After she paused I told her I recently lost a huge amount of weight. She checked my signature a few times and it matched so she did the transaction. I didn't think that I looked so different until this. Maybe it is time to drop the extra $20 and get a picture taken?!?!? Still laughing and debating!

I just had to renew my license due to a change of address and I was telling my husband how much I hated the picture (because it looks like me). I then told him that it would be a good test for after surgery because I will be able to see the change.

My license was taken when I was 21 - 9 years ago. And I weighed almost 100 lbs less. So I have the opposite problem!

Definitely got a new driver's license.

TSA suggested I do so.

I wasn't planning to, in fact in never crossed my mind. But I went to the bank to make a withdraw and they ask for my license and they had to call the manager out because they didn't think it was me. LOL. Kind of a good problem to have. We were getting ready to fly around the same time and I figured if the bank gave me problems there was always a chance the airport would give me problems too. So I paid the small fee (I think it was around 20 or 30) to get a new picture taken for my license.

I haven't yet but I am going to have to. t 100 pounds down I get a lot of strange looks when they look at my license and wonder if it is really me. Same with passport.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
