Oh lord, lol. I have no idea where to start! I'm just going to break it down into 4 days.

Day 1:

Surgery day, woop. I was so excited and anxious. The procedure went by very smoothly, although, when you first wake up there will be a lot of gas trapped in your abdominal area. When I woke up the first thing they wanted me to do is walk around the facility. Walking was/is my Bestfriend when it comes to the sleeve. It helps with my breathing, soreness, and of course the gas. I was released the same day, was chauffeured home and went straight to sleep.

Day 2:

This day had to be my hardest. My side was bleeding because I kind of slept on it by accident (Bleeding is normal, just try not to aid it to bleed more by doing what I did)! My right side was really bruised and it's the deepest/widest cut they give you so it will indeed give you the most trouble. I honestly was very emotional that day because I couldn't really do anything for myself. I barely could get out of my car, my bed. It was hard for me to shower properly and I cried like a big baby, but I was thankful to have my family there beside me.

3rd day:

This day I discovered the "chewing and spitting method". This sounds soooooo gross but I wasn't hungry, I would just have a taste for something. So, I chewed on one cracker and that basically took the edge away. I do not recommend doing this and do not do that anymore. But, I discovered that which helped a lot with missing food. Ofc I was still sore. I walked a lot more, did my breathing exercises and I was feeling great.

Day 4:

I'm taking it easy. I don't crave as much but sometimes it's there. I'm just ready to see progress. I'm happy I chose the sleeve because I know that emotionally it will open so many doors for me.

This is so long. I swear I wasn't going to write this much lol.

I'm 20 years old and my initial weight was 277. After the pre-op diet till now, I weigh 259. Do not try to insulate my numbers in any fashion. I'm rarely eating and I'm definitely not eating Protein which is causing me to drop weight significantly. What about yourself?

No, it's absolutely not okay. I boy burned out drinking so many Protein Shakes pre-op, now I can't stomach the thought of them. I will definitely call my doctor tomorrow. This has been happening to me since Friday and I have no idea what to do.

Have u tried unflavored Protein powders? They were a lifesaver for me! I burnt out on the premiers and Isopure, do now I just add 2 scoops to a smoothie or 1 scoop to food- works wonders. My doc said the protein helps build muscle ( which helps burn more fat) as u lose the fat . That's all I needed to hear to up my intake! I don't want that jiggly look after the weight is gone.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
