Sleeved Oct 13 just now having nausea

Recommended Posts

Hi ShellygirlSD - I was sleeved on Oct 12th and so far no nausea for me. However, I am still on full liquids until Nov 20th, so that may change once I go to "real" food. I have my fingers crossed that it doesn't change.

Hope the nausea gets better for you.

When I got nauseous after 4-5 weeks, doc said I was dehydrated, and to drink pedialyte for 5 days, 1 bottle/day. I am not telling you to do that, you need to ask your doc, but that's what I was told. I could not drink a full bottle a day, it tastes terrible, but I did feel better after drinking some for a few days. Hope you feel better

Sleeved October 12...I found that when I'm dehydrated I get nauseous. I'm on soft food and it is so hard to get Protein and my daily Water in. I found that my Vitamin was also making me nauseous so I ordered them multi Vitamin Patch from patched.com.

Have you run the patch Vitamins by your nutrionist? What did they say? I was going to ask mine when I go for my 2 week post op appointment. I feel like they push their brand of vitamins on us, which are powder, and I am so sick of them already. I used the Patches presurgery, but they insisted on theirs for after surgery. The patches are so much easier!

Sleeved 4th September and my nausea is worse than ever. Told

Surgeon who wasn't worried about it and told me to make sure I eat slowly. I definitely can't tolerate any strong foods- not even tasting them and if I let myself too hungry, I can't keep anything down. Apparently it will just disappear one day or so I am told by other sleepers. Can't wait! Good luck and hope you feel better soon too

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
