PRE-OP LIQUID DIET CHEATER

Recommended Posts

I am also a food addict. I see a psychologist who specializes in treating addictions. I am 22 months post sleeve and I still struggle. Every meal is a chance to start over. When I first gave up fast food I started slowly. Like, I had not had fast food in 3 days. So then I tried to make it 7 days. Then 10, 14, 21 days and so on. Before I knew it I had not had ff in 64 days. So start slow. Once you have surgery you will not have a choice. You won't want it. You really won"t want that greasy feeling in your throat. Today I can eat a few fries but not many. I eat a burger occasionally but it's different. I only eat about 3 or 4 bites with the bun. Then I take off the bun and eat a few more bites minus the bun. I grieved over the food for a couple of months after WLS. Today life is 1000% better than it was. You will get thru this. Attend support groups in your area. You are not alone.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
