The Grand Experiment with Essential Oils

Recommended Posts

I am bringing this Grand Experiment using essential oils to control hunger to an end. I developed a blend of essential oils that I named “Anti-Hunger”. I consider the experiment successful because it controls hunger and hopefully it will add another tool to the toolbox for weight loss and maintenance. I dropped 7.4 pounds in 11 days. I am 29 months post-op RNY surgery and very near my bottom weight when I began this experiment. Before I began the experiment, hunger was slowly creeping back into my life, I found myself grazing and gaining a little weight. Not much, but a little. At the end of the experiment I was still not hungry and I was able to resist the temptation of snacking. I also fell below my lowest-ever weight since surgery. The “loss of hunger” using this essential oil blend was similar to being in the Honeymoon stage after RNY surgery.

I have posted this formula on my updated webpage at http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery2.pdf

One of the final observations was that the effects of using this formula apparently tappers off as one drops weight and doesn’t allow one to become anorexic (provided one eats 3 well balanced meals per day).

Sounds interesting. I was happy to read that you apply it to your skin as opposed to ingestion, as I hate the taste of fennel (obviously it's not a formula for ingestion). I may try it when I get to the point where hunger returns, I am eight months out from surgery.

James,

I read your entire story and found it very interesting. Thanks for sharing it.

I might have to try essential oils solution for both myself and my hubby. Hubby has not had WLS, however he is constantly dieting. Yo yo, I might add. He is considered morbidly obese and knows he needs to do something but he just isn't ready yet to take such a drastic step.

Maybe this will help him. He does not eat out of hunger, he eats out of boredom and habit.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
