I have started my venture on the losers bench.

Check in was 7:30 am and surgery was scheduled for 9:30. It got pushed a few hours.

I got to recovery around 4:30 ......... I did have pain about a 7 out of 10 but the nausea was at like a 20 it was terrible. The nurses took such good care of me they kept giving me different nausea drugs untill we got it all sorted out

If you bring 1 thing other than your person it should be BIOTENE MOUTH SPRAY. It wets your mouth and gets all the funky tastes out etc. I can not urge you more the get the $6 spray

My lower back is what hurt me the most when I got into my room. Other than that things have been bearable. The nurse let me Stand in the room to stretch my back and so I could go pee. When I got comfortable they gave me some pain and nausea meds and it knocked me out till about 7.

I got up and did about 6 laps around the unit. The nurses were so encouraging telling how much better I looked etc

Surgery weight 224.2

Height 5'2

Wow, you are already on your phone after surgery. Good for you!

The nausea sucks. I did everything I could, had them give me meds, tried to gag with my toothbrush, tried to throw up, etc., to get the feeling off my chest.

Sounds like you are doing great. I did not have anything to drink from 8PM on 10/6 to 8AM on 10/8 and it was SO HARD. No ice, no Water, nothing. I thought I was gonna die, but I survived like you!

Keep up the good work.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
