  • From check-in to check-out, I was only there about 10 hours. It was awesome to be able to go home that night. I hate trying to sleep anywhere but home.

  • I stayed 2 days. I felt great but my heart rate was a little elevated, so they suggested another night.

  • My doctor was ready to release me the next day but I insisted on a second day. I was doing great - keeping fluids down, passing gas, peeing.. you know, all those fun things. I just didn't feel steady

My stay was almost two days, about 40 hours. Got there at 5:30 am on September 30th. Left October 1st at 8:30pm.

It just depends on how your doing.

My hospital had 3 requirements you had to meet before you could go home.

1. Pain management

2. 40 sips in

3. Had to pee

My stay was longer because I couldn't pee. Lol

Almost exactly 24 hours. Came in about 9:30 AM, surgery was started by 11:30 AM or so. Woke up in my room about 2:30 PM, maybe a bit later. The next morning, my surgeon cleared me to leave about 11 AM, but it took until about 12:30 PM to finish up my last IV antibiotic dose, "eat" lunch, and get discharged. :-)

My doctor was ready to release me the next day but I insisted on a second day. I was doing great - keeping fluids down, passing gas, peeing.. you know, all those fun things. I just didn't feel steady enough on my feet given the pain I was experiencing. I am glad I stayed a second day - I got more rest at the hospital than I would have at home!

Uuuugh I hate staying the hospital. I've been there for 8 days in a row before so this is considerably less. I just hate it so much. Just slice me open, sew me up and send me home to my nice warm comfy bed with my heating blanket and no one to bother me.
