What kind of pain? Sharp or sore? Taking any gas-x?

Very sore and pain at my incision site next to my belly button. I feel like pulling. I have to hold my stomach to walk and I can't stand straight up. I've taken gas X a few times.

I'm not taking pain meds due to high cost....but I have heard that sometimes pain meds delay your feeling better. So maybe that's why I'm feeling pretty good today. :)

I was sleeved Monday and have a lot of pain around my big incision as well. And I'm gassy too! Trying to lay off the pain meds and only got about 1/2 of my liquids in today (was sleeping the other half). Start on full liquids tomorrow. Slow and steady ladies -- slow and steady.

I get sleeved tomorrow. We're down to just a few hours and all I can think of is food. I'm so shaky and hungry

GOod luck tomorrow! I am 3 days post-op and tonight for some reason I had this MASSIVE cravings for some warm spaghetti. Eventually it went away (I couldn't have eaten no matter how bad I wanted it anyway) but it just struck me as odd- because nothing of my post-op food (aside from popcicles) has been tasting good and eating is the last thing on my mind. My brain apparently still thinks I can eat "normal".

I am glad to hear everything went well! HURRAY!

I am 3 days post-op and still taking all of my pain medicine around the clock. If I wasn't taking the pain meds there's no way I would have been able to get my kids off to school this morning or gotten them dinner and ready for soccer practice tonight. I know it's so hard, but try to not compare yourself with others. Everyone has different things going on. I use a pillow when standing up too because it hurts. Oddly though, my incision where they took my stomach out doesn't hurt, it's the one above and to the right of it that is the most sore.

Just take things one day at a time :) You are doing great!!!!

Day 3 still gassy. Finding hard to drink 64 oz. did eat some Greek yogurt, sliced turkey, and cottage cheese...not all at one time and chewed a million times.

No pain , just sore as hell. No pain meds anymore. Gonna try Soup tonight .

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
