In a time crunch

I'm in the same boat. I must get surgery before November 10th before I have to switch insurances. All of my stuff just got submitted to insurance yesterday, so hopefully I hear back soon. It's a close call. We shall see...

Ok I'm updating you on my situation - My insurance is awesome and approved me within 2 days. Like I said previously, I have to have surgery before November 10th. Well, the surgery scheduler wanted to give me a date of November 11th!!! I said told her that there's absolutely no way I can do that and it had to be before November 10th. She called me back a couple hours later and gave me a new date of October 19th!

Call your insurance and find out if they have a grace period (they should). Technically, I had 31 days after November 10th, but I didn't want to do it after that day.

Just pray your insurance approves quickly. Make sure your surgery scheduler knows you must have it before the date you tell them.
