Am I the only one that demanded a chewable prenatal Vitamin? There is no way I was going to even attempt to swallow those horsepills!

I had an unfill, so I could take the vitamins...Mine are REALLY easy to swallow. I was worried the first time I took it because it did look scary...but they are coated on the outside and it makes them go down easier...plus they taste and smell like marshmallows :)

since my sx i have eaten flintstones chewables and when i got ph i asked my ob if i needed to get prenatals and she said no. she said that the flintstones chewables are some of the best on the market so i take that and an extra folic acid which are small and easy to swallow and a Calcium supplement (adora which is like eating a piece of chocolate, the dark is better strange since i like milk better usually) every day.

Marshmallows!? That's pretty cool. I could probably deal with that :)

hehe ok jill, I will back off. I will tease a bit though cause i had the best subway sandwhich today- it was made with carne asada beef. I ate the whole foot long!!! Of course I have them gut out the bread so its thin, and i have hardly any veg on it... but yummy is the word! Being able to eat after a year of the "fill" has been really nice. Looking at my new fat ass isnt so nice! :) I am really looking forward to getting in shape again after baby comes. By the time that happens Candice and Bexley will be already smoking hot chics for having a head start! :)

Bex- its now less then a week away! You have to get better! Maybe your body is going thru the flu now- to avoid it after your baby comes! Which is good, cause a sick newborn isnt so much fun, even worse trying to breastfeed with the flu! I am sure you will be better by Monday. I will pray for you! Eat lots of home made chix Soup with dumplings and yes, drink lots of Gatorade! And rest! Make everybody do everything for you! Take a nice warm bath- and Pamper yourself! When you feel better- get a pedicure before the baby comes and enjoy the foot massage and calf massage! Damn, now I want one! hang in there sweetheart, its almost over! *hugs*

A whole foot long! *OINK OINK* LOL Just kidding! Actually I am so jealous! That does sound soooo yummy. Hmmm maybe I will get that unfill early! LOL J/k but I am getting unfilled at least slightly before we go on our cruise in May. I dont want to be seasick, or morning sickness or food poisioned with a fill. It is too hard to puke! LOL

Did any of you have EXTREME lower back pain? I mean extreme as in the location of the pain....yeah the pain is extreme too, but the location is crazy....if I sit, I have to stay seated, if I stand I have to stay standing lol! Im falling apart ladies....I need someone to grab the duck tape and gorilla glue and put me back together.....everything was going perfect (health-wise) until the past 2-3 weeks, then I started falling to pieces...Im convinced that the chiropractor messed me up Wednesday...he adjusted my pelvis and lower pack (regular lower back) and my BUTT has hurt ever since (i.e. the extreme lower back) It really feels like my coccyx lol! It hurts that deep, but I also wonder if the baby may not be in a weird position right now where she is pushing on it making it hurt...I cant hardly move..............AGAIN! So its another weekend at home, being lonely and bored :) More school work I guess I could get ahead on research paper and studying for a test on Monday....Im gonna give it the weekend to get better, and if not then I have a chiropractor appt on Monday morning....Just eating tylenol like crazy....

P.S. Im getting that light-headed weird feeling again these days just like at the beginning of pregnancy....I like the 2nd trimester the best lol!!! It was more fun

OMG bex, I bet you can hardly stand it....the waiting...its like a kid on Christmas Eve huh?? Jeez, when I get closer to my date, I probably wont sleep a wink with just shear excitement!!

When the pain started, I thought it was like a gas pocket or something...something from being constipated....but I solved the const. problem and the pain is just as bad or worse. Ive had this pain before for years, I used to get it once or twice a year, but it just seems worse than ever this time...maybe just because Im pregnant it is...I dont think its gonna kill me, its just really uncomfortable...Mom is having the same pain in the same place, only hers isnt as bad and crippling as mine. Shes actually at the Dr right now....Im just going to wait it out until Monday, and talk to the chiropractor about it...boo...even if it means staying home all weekend and doing NOTHING as usual...OH wait....My BFF of 10 years is coming to town this weekend, she will come visit me lol!! Shes about 5 months pregnant with a little boy  Whats funny is she found out she was pregnant not too long after I found out I was!!! And her older sister is having her baby by c-section on my due date! Jeez, its crazy!!! She always has to copy me :tt2:

So....ladies....I have pretty much self-diagnosed my specific back pain (the one in my very lower back aka BUTT! lol)...I did it accidently today...

Ive been on an antibiotic for a UTI for about a week and a half...my lower back pain started the day or so after I started taking it....Well I took it really early last night because I was in so much pain that I couldnt move so I went to bed around 8 pm...I woke up this morning with not as bad pain, but still terrible...and I took some tylenol (which knocked some of the sting out of it, enough to allow me to go back to sleep until lunch)...well I noticed I felt quite a bit more mobile so I went to see my BFF for a little while since shes in town and it kept getting better and better throughout the day....I came home around 10pm tonight but forgot to take the antibiotic until mom and dad came in and I was talking to mom and noticed my bottle of pills and I had one in my hand when I realized that..........TA DA!!! It has been over 24 hours since I took one...and the pain has dulled SO MUCH! Like Im still achy, its sore...but I can move around and not cry when I need to get up or sit down lol! It has gone from feeling like a puppet on a tall thick stick to just feeling like someone punched me really hard in butt lol!!! SOOOOO apparently I have been having an extremely WEIRD reaction to the antibiotic....hopefully, Im still in the experimental stage, it could be a fluke that its better, but the correlation seems so perfect....we will see tomorrow for sure, but Im not going to take the antibiotic anymore, the infection should be gone I took most of the medicine (it was 2 weeks worth and its been a week and 2 days since I started them)...plus I have a Dr appt with the obgyn Thursday, they can check me then to see if I still have one and give me another antibiotic instead of the one Im taking....but I feel SO much better since I havent taken it in over 24hours  I may get the crib put up tomorrow night if Im feeling up to rearranging stuff in my room  Im so excited!!!

Nikki I feel you on those braxton hicks! this is my 5th too! All of my kids were late. But this- I dont think i will make it to May 3rd. The doc sais he will induce me as soon as my cervix ripens, most likey mid- late April. I am counting the day till April 25t. I told the doc- since we live 45 min away from the hospital we choose to deliver at, and considering DH and Mine work profession (daycare) there was no way I would make it to the hospital in time. Considering once I really felt in labor- called all the daycare parents to hurry up and pick up there brats- lol- most likely dH wouldnt be able to see the birth. That would so piss me off. So the induction is the plan- my mom is flying down from Ohio beg of April to help out for hopefully 2 months. Just in case the baby wanted to come out early. Its always nice to have a emergency back up plan. My mom was down for christmas and stayed 2 weeks, nearly drove me nuts. I am not sure how I will put up for two months... lol

But I will need the help since I plan on staying in the room with the baby and hiding out all day to avoid daycare. hehe

My batman crib bedding has yet to arrive should be here within 2 weeks I hope! i just have sooo much to do! I make the lists up in my mind- but I cringe at putting it in writing. The thought of it coming to an end in 8 weeks or less is scarry! Yikes, yeah.... I am not ready... lol

Speaking of being ready.... only hours till Bexley is going to be a new mommy! Tell us Bex, whats the secret in staying calm? What have you been doing all weekend to prepare? I hope your illness has passed. Please post atleast one more time before birth! We are all going to miss you honey!

*hugs*

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
