Hi Amber,

I have a surgery date of September 9th. I am just a tad (tads do matter) over 5'4" and 330. I am into my pre surgery diet now, and hope I can shed some before my August 28th Dr. appt.

Good luck to you. We will stay in contact here and I wish you the best.

How exciting! Congrats ☺☺ I'm hoping I'll shed some weight pre diet as well and prepare for the liquid stage after surgery

Amber, what are your clear liquid plans after surgery.

First two weeks= Clear liquids

Next four weeks = liquids (I think I have that covered)

I am a bit stumped on the Clear Liquids.< /p>

My plans are chicken broth. I know for clear liquids we can have sugar free Jello and popcicles. We can do flavored water also. That's pretty much on my agenda for his. I want to get some tasteless powder Protein to add to my broth so I can make sure I'm getting the protein I need.

I am also having surgery on 9/14. The Protein powder I'm using is from Thorne research laboratory (chocolate and vanilla) . My doctors office sells it discounted. It's pretty good. I only have a 3 day pre op diet. Right now they advise 1-2 Meal Replacement Protein drinks per day. Low carb diet for other meals. Eat Protein first and no drinking with meals. Exercise at least 4 X week. They also have me taking Calcium chloride and Vitamins with Biotin and zinc. I have to attend a pre-op class on the Sept. 3rd. To prepare for post op I've purchased unflavored and chicken Soup flavor Protein Powder.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
