What Vitamins are you taking post op? Did you start with one type ie. chewable and then move to regular ones if you could tolerate?

I am trying Centrum Chewables..not a fan.

I started with Wellesse liquid multi's for the first several weeks after surgery, then switched to Trader Joe's High Potency chewable multi's -- low calorie, low carb, and much cheaper than most any other chewable multi's. I did a double dose for the first year then switched to a single dose. My labs have always been great. They taste fine -- kind of a very mild citrus type flavor.

@@dkrause I started with chewables in the beginning but now I rarely take anything. My labs are perfect without Vitamins so my surgeon said its not necessary since we still absorb what we need through the food we eat, assuming your eating properly.

I'm using Patches from PatchMD. My nutrition recommended it but I'm getting my full blood work at the end of the month so I'll be able to know if they're working.

I take Bariatric Support chewable Multi by Twinlab. They actually aren't that bad! I've tried other brands but this one is my favorite.

My doc recommended the Patches from PatchMD when I went for my 8 week appt this week because I have so much nausea now after I take PO Vitamins. I am going to order some when we get back from vacation!

I am taking Centrum multi chewable. I used to eat them like candy before the surgery, now they give me a bit of acid reflux. Hmm.. I am curious how the patch man is gonna come out with labs. If they are fine, I may consider doing a patch myself Does the glue irritate your skin?

I got my Patches in today and I put one on since I had not taken my Multivitamins yet. They even sent me the Anti Age ones for a free trial. Hope it works great!! post-246385-14407267266797_thumb.jpg

I ordered the Bariatric Advantage multivitamins but as of now, I just can't handle them. Maybe later on down the road I can. I take 3 Flintstone's multi, 1 Calcium chew with Vitamin D, liquid B12 as of now and my NUT said I would be adding Iron soon. I made a whole reminder schedule on mysmart phone and just keep a spare baggie of a few items in my purse incase I am out.

Hi all, I been using multivitamins from PATCHMD.com. My NUT & PCP reviewed my blood work and advised me to cut the patch in half. Apparently my body is absorbing everything well and now I have to much. I'm way over on D3 and few others. Let's see what taking half does for me over the next 2 months.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
