I'm excited! Dr. Hoehn is doing the sleeve. I did well on the 2 week liquid. I'm very, very lucky. I think I messaged you. Have you started yet?

Dr. Hoehn is also doing mine! I've heard great things about him. I truely believe we are in very good hands.

I'm day 2 of 7 liquid and struggling a bit with the liquid only. I lost about 55 lbs since end of January doing mostly low carb. I've been stuck on scale for last month or so. Lately, I've been exercising more but also have had a few higher carb meals. I haven't given up caffeine until now. -Combined I think that's why I'm struggling(my own fault).

I am so very excited and ready to get on with this and start dropping! Do you know if messaging works on Android? I rarely get on home computer or laptop.

Hi KChelper and haleyk. I too am having the sleeve Dec 8th with Dr. Hoehn. Just curious how everything is going with you both and if you have any advice specifically for dealing with KC bariatrics? Would you do it all over again at the same place knowing what you know now? Have you lost a lot of weight?

I think a lot of Dr. Hoehn. I've struggled with some of the staff. They seem to he very overwhelmed with all the patients. I was hoping for a more personal relationship although I feel they may have gotten too big for that. Dr. Hoehn did a wonderful job. The surgery & recovery went great. The nurses were wonderful. If you are struggling with the staff, please let the office staff know. I did & it made a difference. I've lost well. I had surgery mid-August & have lost 60lbs. I have a lot to lose. Please let me know anything you may need. I'd be happy to help.

Blessing fellow sleevers: My name is Theresa. I am from Delaware, 64 yrs. young. After many many attempts at weight lost programs, and many more pounds later my doctor decided that the sleeve was the best suit from me. I am 8.5 weeks out. Looking for a buddy who would be willing to help me out during this new adventure. My surgery was Aug. 21, 15. I did loose 27lbs, but now I am stalled. Everyone tells me this is norma (is it) it has been the entire month of Oct. What am I doing wrong..Need a buddy who is willing to hang in there with. Thanks in advance for any information, encourage etc..Must needed. Stalled in Magnolia, DE..

@@KChelper, I messaged you. The "KC" was a giveaway. Dr. Hoehn will also be my surgeon in January. I hope I locate some buddies from the same practice when my time comes. It would be fun to compare notes! Hope your surgery (everyone's surgery, for that matter) went great and life is treating you all well.

Sorry just saw this. Dr. Hoehn is awesome! I had great experience with all the staff. I was a little dehydrated day of surgery an got stuck 7 times to get iv started which was a little ick. I started at 299.8 Jan 30. I was 244 dos Aug 24 i'm now 209.2 I'm so happy! Can't wait to be in onderland! My sister was sleeved after me she had surgery with dr. Aragon she got a leak had to go back to surgery which Dr. Hoehn and Hamilton assisted with to convert to rny type thing. She was in hospital for nearly a month and had to do out patient dialysis once she left hospital. She came close to death-it was very scary. I don't think the surgery center handled her complications well. It is very very rare that they happen -if the do you really should be in a surgical icu afterwards. Don't want to scare you or anything-I'm so glad I made this decision and also would do all over again at KC bariatric. Wish you the best. Let me know if you have any questions.

Theresa64 I've definately had stalls. I'm doing low carb since we kinda end up doing that anyway. I've had luck with having a cheat day in a stall then going back strict watching carbs. I am walking lots-my fit bit helps motivate me. It'll gome off and it will be for good! Yay!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
