That's the 3 week stall, it's notorious and you should probably just keep off that scale for a couple weeks to not drive yourself nuts! ;)

Missylady what Vitamins did you find? I keep vomiting up every brand I try. I am also starting my third week post-op.

Glad to hear this. I'm at the stall as well, ANDI was given a steroid shot for bronchitis. I don't expect to lose any thing this week, but I'm still religious about the post op diet...

Brace yourself because this is just the first of many :) The stalls come and go. Just do what @@Elode said and stay off of the scale! If you stay on track and follow your plan, the scale WILL move. Best of luck to you!

I am in my 3rd week also....and yup, I stalled! It's also my time of the month, so I doubt that's helping much either....nothing to do but follow doctor's orders and hope this stall ends soon!

Hi choosehope, I see you asked what Iron are you using? My nurse from post op recommended to take slow FE iron,..

It's time release that said it's easy to digest. I just make sure I take a few hours after I take my evening Vitamins, Calcium,

Because I heard with calcium so especially it will make the tummy upset.

Emily9654,

Thanks! I've used that before and handled it okay. I wonder if bypass patients can use it since it is time release. Anyone know?

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
