Ladies, What Size Jeans Do You Wear?

Recommended Posts

5'2" 194lbs. Four months out.

Jeans are hard to tell what size I wear...I put on my 18's and they fit perfectly, then an hour later they are falling down to my knees ???? my 16s are too tight. Same with my non-Jean pants

I can wear anything from a size 10 to a size 6, depending upon the style. If you are carrying weight in your thighs and hips I would recommend looking for the words curvy fit in the pants description. They are sized to accommodate a more rounded butt and bigger thighs. I can wear a size 6 from old navy, curvy fit pants but need a 10 from AEO. I usually buy a size 8 in brands that are not cut for no curve having teenagers or cut as generously as Old Navy cuts their pants.

My surgery was on August 18, and I've been able to comfortably wear size 12 jeans again for the past couple of weeks. The highest shelf of my closet is like a graveyard of jeans in smaller sizes from the past, and I'm hopeful to be able to get out the step-ladder and take some down in the near future.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
