GNC Lean 25 French Vanilla Protein

Recommended Posts

They gave me a sample of this as I got a free membership due to grand opening in my neighborhood. Absolutely loved it in orange juice. And I was so full! Right now, my doctor told me to just try things to see what I can tolerate. Is this one the correct type of Protein? I have 2 $5 off coupons and they are buy 1 get one 50% right now. So, it'd be awesome. I will try calling the clinic tomorrow though. I haven't had dietician appt yet, only a phone one which is through my insurance.

So, my deep freezer is full of purees etc now. I wanted to see what tasted ok. Did a pretty good job. And honestly, am taking in more veggies this way!

Rather than add it to orange juice (which is extremely high in sugar) try the GNC Lean 25 orange cream flavor. It's my favorite.

Be extremely careful with fruit juices due to the high sugar content.

GNC total lean is all I have used. I buy the vanilla bean, Swiss chocolate, and strawberries and cream. There are other flavors as well.

I was going to get the Orange Flavor too. But does that mean I am to add them to Water? I am new to this. That is what the rep in the store told me to add it to. I just looked up the OJ label and I see what you're referring to.

I am allergic to strawberries and chocolate. I am trying to make sure the type of Protein was right. But it seems several are using this one. It will not be my only. As I am using powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury as well. I have one other flavor Unjury to try. But I need something that can be store bought as well.

Thanks! I'm excited to try these other flavors.

Love the GNC Lean 25 shakes. I buy them pre-made in the plastic bottles. Swiss chocolate is my favorite.

We have a GNC membership (it's free, I think). And we usually buy a case, get 50% off the second case.

Calories - 170; Protein 25 grams. Can't beat that!

Nearly a year out, and I still have one for Breakfast most mornings.

Yes, just mix the GNC Lean 25 shakes (if you buy the powder) with Water. It should be on the directions. I order mine, but I understand that you can sample different flavors at the stores.

I am doing the powder because of a milk allergy. I have tolerated them all well. All the ready mades are milk. So, I will go get it and try it with Water. As, this is one I know I like! Thanks!

They are all made from milk. But from the research I've done people are either allergic to the whey or the casein. If I drink milk, it comes right back out. I can't tolerate it at all. I have not had any issues with the ones that I have had. I am allergic to peanuts too. That's the issue with most the bars contain almonds, which most don't relate with peanuts. I had to return most of them.

If you are allergic to milk then read labels carefully and talk with your NUT about recommendations.

Yes, glad she told me before I got extremely stuck to that mix. But I'm thinking if I check out the other flavor, I should be fine.

My doctor's office has me on all the Vitamins I will take later as well. So, they want to see if people are able to comply with the eating habits we're promising.

When I got the new Ninja, I got a little excited. I have some fruit and yogurt smoothies but I know with that, I can't have those right away. I did the puree applesauce in bananas, veggies in broth etc. I was kinda going puree overboard for a couple weeks.

For me, I can not tolerate milk so it's not an option to go pre-made. Because I have several shaker bottles now, It's not very much work for me. I even took the applesauce and banana puree with unflavored Protein in one of those. It worked fine. It's a very different way of eating. But I am trying to figure it out.

When I make a commitment, I like to stick with it. For now, I'm trying to figure out which Proteins will get overstocked! And I know the Isopure Zero Carb Apple Melon will be fully stocked for 2 week liquid diet!

I have also finally given in to getting an elliptical, but I'll be starting out with the Les Mills Combat DVD before moving forward. I was given a list of things to do, one was join an excercise program, with my work commute, this will be about as good as I can get to one.

I'll let you know how it goes!

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
